A ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony is scheduled for Thursday to celebrate the completion of the renovated Municipal Boathouse in Oakland. Various civic leaders, friends of Lakeside Park and community members will be on hand for the 2 p.m. event. The public is invited.
Hired: An executive chef is also in place for the Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill, the Oakland project from the Beach Chalet and Park Chalet team of Gar and Lara Trupelli. He's Jarad Gallagher, most recently of One Market in San Francisco.
